AAC Tech Solutions is built on decades of experience helping students, families, and school teams support communication in real environments.
Our Story
Our story began in 1992, when Mary, a speech pathology student at Boston University, discovered her passion for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) during a clinical internship. In 2010, Mary joined Edtech Solutions and brought years of hands-on AAC experience to the team.
Building the Team
As the work grew, so did the team.
Janice joined in 2015, bringing strong technical expertise and a deep commitment to staying current in a rapidly evolving field. Together, Mary and Janice became known for taking on complex AAC cases and delivering results where others struggled.
Jordan and Colleen later joined, strengthening the team with a focus on collaboration, classroom implementation, and effective solutions that work in schools every day.
A Focused Practice
In 2026, AAC Tech Solutions launched as an independent practice, evolving naturally from EdTech Solutions to focus exclusively on AAC services — while maintaining a valued ongoing relationship with EdTech Solutions and Karen Janowski's team.
