Meet Our Team

We collaborate closely with students, families, educators, and school teams to develop effective AAC solutions that support meaningful communication in everyday life.

Our clinicians present at national conferences and are experienced in working with complex cases that extend beyond the scope of many providers. We are committed to staying at the forefront of emerging tools and evidence-based practice.

What distinguishes us most is our connection to the communities we serve. Every member of our team lives and works in the Greater Boston Area. Our investment in each student's progress extends well beyond the evaluation, because these are our neighbors, and we are here for the long term.

Mary Giunta holds a bachelor's degree from Boston University and a master's degree from Northwestern University. With more than three decades of clinical experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), she has worked across a wide range of settings. Since 2008, Mary has served as an AAC Consultant to more than 40 school districts throughout the greater Boston area. Her technical expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of AAC systems and applications, including Touch Chat (certified trainer), PODD, LAMP, UNITY, GRID 3, Proloquo, Proloquo2Go, TD Snap, PECS, Avaz, multiple text-to-speech and visual scene display applications, as well as emerging AI-based AAC tools. She has also pursued extensive training in AAC and literacy.

Mary is a certified Autism Spectrum Clinical Specialist, NLA-trained clinician, and a frequent recipient of ASHA's Award for Continuing Education. She presents regularly at national and regional conferences; her work is grounded in a steadfast belief that access to effective communication is a fundamental right and that the educational teams surrounding AAC users are essential partners in making that access a reality.

Outside of work, Mary enjoys searching for sea glass on the northshore, reading historical fiction, and spending time with her husband and three adult children. She is also an unabashed Bruce Springsteen fan.

Jordan McCathern earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her master’s degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions before beginning her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Her interest in AAC led her to work first privately, then in a public school, with autistic AAC users. Her love for AAC led her to pursue a clinical doctorate at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, which she completed in 2024. Her capstone research focused on verb learning in autistic AAC users. That same year, she joined Ed-Tech Solutions.

Jordan continues to value professional development and has taken various training courses in PODD, LAMP, Unity, PECS, Grid, AVAZ, and TDSnap. She’s a certified Touch Chat trainer and an NLA-certified clinician. Jordan regularly attends conferences such as ATIA, ASHA, and Closing the Gap, where she fully embraces the opportunity to “fan girl” over presenters whose research she’s long admired.

With experience as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, Jordan understands the day-to-day challenges of AAC implementation in educational settings. She values collaborative AAC implementation and enjoys creating meaningful, innovative solutions for students and educational teams.

Outside of work, Jordan enjoys running, hiking, the beach, and spending time with her husband, baby, and cat.

Colleen is a speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of experience supporting students with complex communication needs across educational settings. She earned her master’s degree from Boston University, where she developed a strong foundation in social communication, collaborative practice, and student-centered intervention.

Throughout her career, Colleen has specialized in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), with extensive experience supporting AAC implementation in classrooms and school-based settings. She has collaborated closely with educators, related service providers, and families to integrate AAC into daily routines, academic activities, and social interactions in meaningful and sustainable ways.

Her AAC experience includes work with LAMP Words for Life, TouchChat, TD Snap, and PECS, along with coursework in Natural Language Acquisition. Her clinical approach emphasizes meeting students where they are, building on existing strengths, and supporting communication growth through individualized, multimodal supports across school, home, and community settings. Colleen values meaningful problem-solving, coaching, and collaboration that help teams and families feel confident supporting AAC throughout the day. Her years of direct school-based experience provide her with a strong understanding of classroom demands and the importance of creating communication systems that are functional, accessible, and realistic within everyday environments.

In 2026, Colleen joined the EdTech team and is excited to continue partnering with schools and families to increase communication access, participation, and autonomy for AAC users.
Outside of work, Colleen enjoys exercise of all kinds, beach days, reading, and spending time with her family.

Janice Webber was born and raised in Canada and emigrated to the United States in 2001. She entered speech-language pathology as a second career, inspired by her son’s experience with early intervention services. That journey gave her something no clinical program can teach: a firsthand understanding of what it means to navigate the IEP process as a parent.

A graduate of Emerson College, Janice has spent over a decade consulting for school districts across the Greater Boston area and is a founding member of AAC Tech Solutions. She is known for untangling complex technical challenges and holds a deep conviction that every student, no matter how complex their profile, deserves a path to a voice.

Janice is a certified TouchChat trainer with additional training in LAMP Words for Life, Unity, TD Snap, PODD, PECS, Grid, Avaz, and Visual Scene display systems. She enjoys attending national conferences, including ASHA, Closing the Gap, ATIA, AzTAP, and ISAAC, and maintains active relationships with vendors and developers to stay at the forefront of a rapidly evolving field.

At home, her days are shared with a blended family, two spirited dogs, and six chickens, thereby ensuring that dull moments are simply not in the cards.
